Please welcome newly hired former NASA Civil Servant Brandi (Quam) Maddrey. Brandi joins LST as the Director of Interagency Solutions, aligned to Business Development and Corporate Strategy. In her role at LST she will focus on advancing existing LST capabilities in a diverse market portfolio, expanding our reach to new markets, and identifying innovative technical solutions and approaches to interagency challenges.
Before LST, Brandi served as an Acquisition Strategy and Program Lead for NASA Langley Research Center for 12 years. At NASA, she served in Science Directorate in critical roles, led the development of a GIS Strategy for Earth Science, and managed a team of practitioners and data scientists. As an Agency Associate for the Earth Science Technology Office’s Advanced Information Systems Technology Program (ESTO/AIST), she oversaw a portfolio of S&T contracts, grants, and investigations aligned to the Earth Science mission and worked on mapping emerging technologies and advanced I.T. capabilities to gaps in current and future NASA missions.
She is a U.S. Air Force Veteran and spent much of her career leading major acquisition Working Groups and S&T development efforts across several government agencies – Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense (Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, & Logistics). Brandi transitioned to NASA in 2010 to assess Enterprise Architecture implementations and serve as Deputy Head of the Atmospheric Science Data Center – part of the larger Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS). She holds a B.S. in Psychology, an MBA, and is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Additionally, she was an Advocates and Allies to Women (A2W) Chairperson, is working to gain fluency in American Sign Language, and is a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP) specializing in conflict resolution and confidential advocacy and mentoring.
