We were proud to participate in the Capital Region Chapter of Women in Aviation International’s Girls in Aviation Day, joining aviation organizations and volunteers from across the community to introduce young girls to the many possibilities within aviation.
Over two days of events, nearly 250 girls explored aviation, connected with professionals, and discovered careers they may not have previously considered. The events also raised approximately $6,000 and brought together aviation organizations, clubs, airlines, flight schools, and enthusiasts with a shared goal: helping more girls see a future for themselves in aviation.
At the LST booth, participants learned that aviation careers extend far beyond the cockpit. Through aviation trivia, educational resources, and conversations with our team, girls explored opportunities in air traffic control, engineering, cybersecurity, technology, and other roles that help keep our aviation system safe and moving.
With decades of experience supporting the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Airspace System, LST knows the future of aviation will depend on the next generation of problem-solvers, innovators, and technical experts. Events like Girls in Aviation Day give young people a chance to see those possibilities firsthand.
We are grateful to the Capital Region Chapter of Women in Aviation International for bringing together the aviation community and creating an experience that inspired so many girls and their families.
Since our inception, we have partnered with the government to deliver services aligned with our customers’ plans, missions, and project goals.
