It’s the time of the year when people gather at bars and living rooms around the country to watch their favorite teams battle it out on the basketball court for March Madness. Our Corporate Services team organized a social tournament this year to engage employees and provide opportunities for fun, lighthearted competition.
Today we learned a lot about our coworkers during the lightning talks portion of march madness. Each volunteer had 5 mins to give a talk about something they were passionate about. We heard from someone in just about every business unit today featuring talks on street art, fishing, angels, self-care, how to plan a date, cocktail-making cheat codes, real estate adventures in the outer banks, vacationing on the space coast, and motorcycle safety. Based on the energy and laughter in the room, all the lightning talks were a hit, and we had the opportunity to learn about our colleagues.
Now, all employees will vote on their favorite lightning talk; the most votes get the points!
After lunch, the leadership team spoke on a panel hosted by Jim Little about “What wins championships!!” Leadership talked about growth, inspiration, and vision.
Thank you to all the participants! Now we wait to see who comes out on top of the actual March Madness bracket!
