Celebrating Exceptional Teamwork in Challenging Conditions!

We’re proud to recognize the incredible efforts of our ASTI SLE Team, (Kurt Marshall, Karl Johnson, Vang Xiong, Jeff Lawrey, and Brandon Helmericks), for their outstanding work in restoring critical communications in Kipnuk, Alaska.

When severe winds disrupted the Remote Communications Outlet (RCO) service during the recent devastation inflicted by the remnants of Typhoon Halong in Western Alaska, this team deployed swiftly and successfully established a VSAT link in less than 14 hours despite harsh winter conditions. Their dedication ensured vital weather and flight plan information was restored for the Kenai Flight Service Station, supporting aviation safety in this remote region.

From meticulous pre-deployment planning to on-the-ground execution and network monitoring, every member played a crucial role. This is a shining example of resilience, expertise, and collaboration under pressure.  They even had “help” from one of the village puppy dogs!

Thank you, team, for your can-do spirit and commitment to excellence!
